Terms of Service

1. The Platform

FundiNG is a marketplace operated by Flinthub Digitals that connects clients with service professionals. We are a facilitator, not a party to any contract between users.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must be a legal resident of Nigeria (for identity-verified accounts)
• You must provide accurate registration information
• You may not create multiple accounts for the same person

3. Payments & Escrow

How escrow works

When a client funds a contract, payment is held in escrow by our payment partner. The professional receives payment only after the client approves the work — or after 48 hours if no dispute is raised after work submission.

Platform fee

FundiNG charges a platform fee on each completed contract:

• Standard: 10% of contract value (deducted from professional payout)
• Top Rated: 7% (reduced fee as a Top Rated benefit)
• Direct Contracts: 5%
• Urgent surcharge: +5% added to client payment (passed to professional after platform fee)

Refunds

Clients may raise a dispute within 48 hours of work submission. Platform fees are non-refundable once work has been approved. Bid tokens are non-refundable as they do not expire.

4. Professional Standards

Professionals agree to:

• Provide accurate descriptions of their skills and experience
• Deliver work to the standard described in accepted contracts
• Communicate professionally and respond within 24 hours during active contracts
• Not take work off-platform to avoid platform fees (grounds for permanent ban)
• Maintain the identity and bank details submitted for verification

5. Client Obligations

• Clients must fund escrow before work begins
• Clients must review work and respond within 5 days of submission
• Abuse of the dispute system (raising disputes in bad faith) may result in account suspension

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Sharing contact details to conduct transactions off-platform during an active or potential FundiNG contract
• Fake reviews or soliciting fake reviews
• Impersonating another person or professional
• Offering illegal services
• Harassment, abuse, or discriminatory conduct toward any user
• Any attempt to compromise platform security or other users' accounts

7. Dispute Resolution

FundiNG provides mediation for disputes involving escrow-funded contracts. Our team will review evidence submitted by both parties and issue a binding resolution within 5 business days. Both parties agree to accept our resolution as final for amounts under ₦500,000. For larger amounts, parties may escalate to Nigerian courts (Lagos State jurisdiction).

8. Termination

We may suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms. Funds in escrow are subject to dispute resolution before release on termination. Unpaid earnings due to a professional are released after completion of any active dispute process.

9. Limitation of Liability

FundiNG's liability to any user is limited to the amount of platform fees paid by that user in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for the quality of services delivered by professionals. Our escrow and dispute system is our primary risk mitigation mechanism.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Changes are communicated by email and in-app notification. Continued use after 14 days constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
